Payday lands, start a new month
When your salary hits your account, open Nuumey and start a new month. Enter how much landed and when the next one is due. That's it. Nuumey does the rest.
Allocate your salary across envelopes
Create colour-coded envelopes for each spending category. Groceries, Rent, Going Out, Petrol, whatever fits your life. At the start of every month, top up each envelope from your salary.
Unspent money carries forward. It doesn't disappear at the end of the month. So if you had £30 left in Groceries last month, you only need to add £170 to reach £200 this time.
Log transactions as you spend
Every time you spend, tap New Transaction, pick the envelope, enter the amount. Takes about 5 seconds. Saved payees mean you don't have to type "Tesco" every time.
Build your buffer
Set a one-month buffer target. Every month, put a little aside. When you hit the target, you've broken the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. You're living on last month's money, not this month's.
